HEIDI'S STORY

Welcome to Heidi’s dog utopia. My name is Heidi, I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in Brighton and have fondly explored the countryside, beaches, parks and greenery that Sussex has to offer. By being outside I discovered my love for walking and fresh air, accompanied by our family dog, Taz, it was a realisation that I couldn’t imagine this not being my job.

Over the years I have become a proud owner, of my three gorgeous yet individual dogs. It started with Belle who I rescued. A fair few years ago and I loved helping her come out of her shell. It helps that she thrives off treats and edible rewards. Then my next dog Tia has a short attention span and was wary of children. So by working out which route to go down and that suits her own needs we have progressed greatly. By doing short, quick bursts of training and having lots of fun doing she really reacts positively and improved tremendously. Nala, my youngest but by far the largest dog responds to vocal praise. By having her from a puppy I consider myself lucky that I got a fresh start to work with. I do realise that this is not always the case and by owning three dogs, with different reward techniques and backgrounds that no two cases are the same. 

By seeing it first hand I realised that I could change the lives of so many dogs and their owners for the better. Whether that is puppy classes for a head start in life, helping a rescue come out of their shell, one behaviour that you haven’t been able to resolve yourself or general obedience I want to help in any way I can. Dogs are a joy but sometimes it just takes a little work on finding the right technique to give both you and your dog the happiest of times and make memories together.
